It tracks ~150 current NAS-marketed drives with cheapest live price-per-TB across 8 markets, CMR vs SMR recording type, idle/seek acoustics, and annual failure rates computed from Backblaze Drive Stats with proper confidence intervals. The full dataset is open (CC BY 4.0).

nasdisks helps people choose a NAS hard drive on the facts that matter: price per terabyte, reliability, whether a drive is CMR or SMR (SMR can stall a RAID rebuild), and how loud it is. Prices refresh daily from Amazon marketplaces. Reliability is annualized from drive-days and shown with an exact Poisson 95% confidence interval, never as a bare point estimate. The site is run by one person and funded by Amazon affiliate links; nothing is gated.
