The failure-rate fields (afr_pct and the drive-count, drive-days and failure totals) come from Backblaze Drive Stats and stay under Backblaze's terms: cite Backblaze, and you may not sell the data itself. Backblaze does not endorse this project.

API

Both endpoints are read-only GETs, allow cross-origin requests (Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *) and are cached for an hour, so you can call them straight from a browser, a notebook or a build step.

  • https://www.nasdisks.com/data/drives.json - JSON: a top-level object with license, count and a drives array.
  • https://www.nasdisks.com/data/drives.csv - the same rows as a flat CSV.
curl -s https://www.nasdisks.com/data/drives.json | jq '.drives[0]'

Machine-readable contract: openapi.yaml (OpenAPI 3.0, covers both endpoints plus the embed price feed).

What's inside

Each drive row carries: model, brand, line, capacity_tb, rpm, cache_mb, interface, form_factor, recording_tech (cmr/smr), drive_class and in_production. Where Backblaze tracks the model, it also carries afr_pct (annualized failure rate) plus the drive-count, drive-days and failure totals behind it.
